Introduction to AOG — part 1 : The Gladiator NFT
Hello Romans, in the coming weeks we will post a series of articles, introducing you to the game assets, mechanics, tokenomics, UI and more.
We are very excited to embark on this journey with you, and want to equip you with all the knowledge you need in order to bring glory and honor to your name!
The most basic and important asset in our game, will be the Gladiator.
Gladiators will be used in almost every activity in the game! Going on adventures, fighting in the arena, increasing your adventure rewards and more!
Building a strong team of Gladiators will bring you success and wealth over time.
Each Gladiator has five attributes — Attack, Defence, Speed, HP (health points) and Overall (the sum of all the other attributes).
Each attribute varies between 0 and 100.
Every Gladiator comes in 1 of 5 different rarities:
Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary
Other than rarity, each Gladiator also has a Glory level!
Gladiators come in three different Glory levels:
Normal, Reputable and Glorified for the absolute best.
How do I obtain Gladiators?
The way to obtain Gladiators is by purchasing Gladiator packs using gold (ways to obtain gold will be explained in detail in future articles)
Use your gold to purchase a Gladiator of your own choosing, and unpack it to reveal the stats of your warrior!
How much does a Gladiator costs?
Each Gladiator pack contains one Gladiator card of it’s rarity and costs as follow:
Common Gladiator pack — 1,000 AOGG
Uncommon Gladiator pack — 5,000 AOGG
Rare Gladiator pack — 25,000 AOGG
Epic Gladiator pack — 125,000 AOGG
Legendary Gladiator pack — 625,000 AOGG
Is there a way to upgrade my current Gladiators?
Yes, you can train your Gladiators to a higher rarity!
You do so by merging 5 cards of the same rarity — And you will get 1 Gladiator pack of the next rarity grade.
How are my Gladiator’s attributes determined?
The Gladiator’s attributes are determined by the rarity of the card + rng factor.
Each rarity has a minimum attribute number (each individual attribute cannot go below that) and an overall limit, and they are as follows:
Common — Minimum of 10 in each attribute and a maximum overall of 100
Uncommon— Minimum of 20 in each attribute and a maximum overall of 150
Rare— Minimum of 30 in each attribute and a maximum overall of 200
Epic— Minimum of 40 in each attribute and a maximum overall of 250
Legendary— Minimum of 50 in each attribute and a maximum overall of 350
How is Glory level determined?
Glory level is determined based on overall use of the warrior’s potential:
Normal Glory level — 0–70% of the potential overall capabilities of the Gladiator
Reputable Glory level — 70–90% of the potential overall capabilities of the Gladiator
Glorified Glory level — 90–100% of the potential overall capabilities of the Gladiator
