The first Mercenary: Livia and the first spend gold Event
Dear Romans,
we are happy to introduce our new type of NFTs, the Mercenaries and our very first spend gold event called Gold Spending Mania!
So who are the Mercenaries?
The Mercenaries are exclusive NFTs, obtainable only from sales or special events. They function in the Adventure mode similar to Gladiators, but they hold special perks and benefits which gladiators don’t have. Every Mercenary has its own different perks. Mercenaries do not have stats, so they will not be available for PVP gameplay. Mercenaries are trainable the same way gladiators are (training five mercenaries of the same rarity into a mercenary of a higher rarity) but they do not have training fees.
The story of the first Mercenary, Livia.
The eighth child of a prominent Roman senator, Octavia grew up watching gladiators from the spectator stands. As a wide-eyed Roman lady, she witnessed blood spill in the arena, and adoration showered upon gladiators who survived their numerous tribulations. These contests fueled her interest in the martial arts. However, it was seen as disgraceful for a freeborn Roman woman to bear arms, so she could only practise in the deep of the night, away from the watchful eyes of her family and house servants. Octavia had exceptional talent with the blades. She would move dexterously in the shadows, weaving in and out of harm’s way against her imaginary opponents. Alas, it did not take long for her jealous sibling, Celia, to notice Octavia’s late night shenanigans. Celia threatened to expose Octavia’s secret to their father, Senator Felix. The Senator was a prideful and loyal man to Caesar, and would not tolerate any such transgressions within his family. A struggle ensued between the two daughters, and the jealous sibling was eventually mortally wounded. Knowing she could never find her place in the family again, nor in an arena as a gladiator, Octavia decided to escape and live her life under a different name, Livia. Livia would go on to become an infamous sellsword, or mercenary, who was frequently engaged by nobles and merchants alike to silence their opponents. None would know of her troubled past, as she often left like the wind once her mission was accomplished.
Livia’s special skill: As a skilled mercenary, Livia would always charge extra for her services. Her unique in-game skill is “Gold Rush”━ every Adventure Livia is sent on, she will receive a gold bonus greater than anyone else. The gold bonuses would be based on her rarity as followed:
・Common ━ 3% GOLD bonus
・Uncommon ━ 6% GOLD bonus
・Rare ━ 9% GOLD bonus
・Epic ━ 12% GOLD bonus
・Legendary ━ 15% GOLD bonus
The Livia Pack
Livia will be acquirable from a special pack. This pack can unpack a Livia of any rarity except the common rarity. The drop rate odds for her pack are as follows:
・Uncommon ━ 60%
・Rare ━ 35%
・Epic ━ 4%
・Legendary ━ 1%
How would she be obtained?
Livia, like all other Mercenaries, is an exclusive NFT obtainable only from sales or special events. With Livia we are excited to introduce our first special event ━ Gold Spending Mania.
In this event, every Roman will get a counter in the game, which counts the amount of gold they spent during the event’s duration. Based on the amount spent, the Roman will be eligible for a reward in the proper tier.
The reward tiers:
・Spend 12,000 GOLD ━ Receive 1x Common Livia
・Spend 22,000 GOLD ━ Receive 2x Common Livia
・Spend 45,000 GOLD ━ Receive 1x Uncommon Livia
・Spend 120,000 GOLD ━ Receive 1x Livia Pack
・Spend 220,000 GOLD ━ Receive 2x Livia Pack
Actions and transactions that would count as gold spent:
・Training up Gladiators (the training fees are counted towards the event)
・Buying Gladiator Packs
・Adding extra slots in the Adventure mode for GOLD
Rewards do not accumulate between tiers, a Roman eligible for the highest tier reward will only receive 2x Livia pack and not all the previous rewards altogether.
For ex. If you spend 170,000 GOLD you will receive 1x Livia Pack.
The event will also have a second part, The Race For Power!
When the event ends, we will take a snapshot of the top 100 Power Scores in the Arena’s Leaderboard, and the most powerful Romans will receive Livia packs as reward:
・Ranks 1–20: 2x Livia Pack each
・Ranks 21–100: 1x Livia Pack each
Duration of the event
The event will start on February 24th at 12:00 PM UTC, and will last exactly for 4 days until February 28th at 12:00 PM UTC. The start and the end of the event will be announced on our Discord server.

When will the rewards be distributed?
Once the event ends, we will take 5 days to process the results and airdrop Livia to eligible Romans.
