March monthly update

Dear Romans,

the next month is here and so we have created this monthly update to summarize what has happened and what we have planned next.

Updates and events implemented

• Livia, the Mercenary implementation
  We have released Livia the first Mercenary NFT and implemented her along with smart contracts so she could be used in-game.

• Quality of Life changes
  We take the feedback of the community seriously and the community demanded a proper filtering system and so we decided to filter Gladiators by their rarity when in Inventory and when selecting Gladiators for Adventures/Supply Runs. This way your highest rarity gladiators will appear on top, while the lowest rarity gladiators will appear on the bottom.
• Stock the Granaries event
  Before the implementation of the FOOD token, FOOD NFTs and Supply Runs game mode we have decided to create a special event where players were able to stock up on their FOOD supply by spending their GOLD in-game. When the event ended, players were rewarded with the acquired FOOD.
• FOOD token implementation
  We have released the new FOOD token on March 7th which follows the Supply Runs game mode. You can now receive FOOD by going on Supply Run missions.

• FOOD NFTs implementation
  As FOOD token was released, you can not trade it like other typical tokens. It serves as an in-game token that can be exchanged for a FOOD NFT, which can then be traded and used to increase your current FOOD supply.

• Supply Runs game mode
  We have implemented this game mode on March 7th. In order go earn gold you have to go on Adventures and as Adventures require food to be started, you now have to gather food from these supply run missions.

• Project collaborations and giveaways
  Those that follow our socials know that we have held multiple collaboration events and giveaways that served well both for the players and for the project. We love engaging with other projects and their communities and making players happy by rewarding them for their work and loyalty. This is not the end though, as we have more collaborations and other marketing strategies already planned.
• Special Event happening
  The community wanted another event and so we thought of one where you will be able to receive the next in line Mercenary that goes by the name “Bodo”. This event is split into two parts; one where you will be rewarded for spending your gold and one where you will be rewarded depending on which province you are fighting for. This event starts on April 2nd at 2:00 PM UTC.

• Bodo, the Mercenary
  We plan on releasing the next Mercenary after the special event finishes. This Mercenary, as the previous one, is also an exclusive NFT and can be acquired only via the mentioned special event. His special ability is what is worth fighting for.

Upcoming updates

• PVP gameplay, Gear NFTs and collaboration
  As we enter Q2, our main focus in the next phase of the game development is going to be PVP and Gear NFTs. We are working on creating a competetive environment for our Roman players and so we are focusing our efforts on building competetive gameplay within the community. We also plan on expanding our reach by adding more collaborations and marketing efforts in order to get more Romans involved while the game takes steps forward in the next phase.
• More Mercenaries
  We have recently released two new Mercenaries and we plan on releasing more, each with their own special skill that makes them unique.
